    Serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of our manufacturing process, overseeing all changes to the production process, troubleshooting production issues related to the manufacturing process and control of critical parameters, and reviewing any new designs or modifications to production equipment. Represent Engineering as a technical expert in manufacturing projects, including overseeing the scale-up of formulas to production, process optimization projects, and any other manufacturing improvement initiatives. Serve as a technical liaison between Engineering and Production to ensure that all tradeoffs are assessed in alignment with Dr. Squatch’s strategic objectives. Manage Dr. Squatch Manufacturing Engineering projects to ensure a seamless execution of capital equipment and continuous improvement projects, while ensuring that all plans, communications and processes between the Engineering and Production stakeholders are clearly defined and properly delivered in alignment with Dr. Squatch’s strategic objectives Work with the Engineering Team on equipment design/selection, cost-benefit analysis (BVOA), and budget approval process Manage all aspects of project execution, including scope, budget, cost estimates, schedule, site construction, safety, equipment installation, training, and turnover Team up with functional leads in the areas of Safety, Maintenance, Production, Packaging, and Quality to clearly define project scope, deliverables, safety, and cost objectives, in order to appropriately hold Vendors accountable Work with Maintenance, Production, and Packaging to lead the start-up, shake-down and initial operations of new installations, train operators, and troubleshoot issues  
    Requirements
    A minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering or process engineering experience involving facility design (high tech facility design preferred). Experience in both product development and process engineering Experience in the personal care or related industry is highly desired. Bachelors in Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies. Must have strong analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills Solves highly complex problems and prioritizes actions in a timely manner. Probes all sources for answers and can quickly sense what will help resolve issues Excellent oral and written communication - Proven ability to effectively communicate throughout organization: up, across, and down Experience working in a manufacturing environment and having a working knowledge of cGMP’s Demonstrated experience in equipment design and installation (e.g. tanks, pumps, pipework fabrication, packaging automation) Certification in project management methodology (preferred) Demonstrates a passion for safety.
