Assist in the creation of seasonal designs for the footwear and accessory categories.
Stay informed about current market trends, vintage research, materials, and techniques.
Assist in creating detailed sketches and digital renderings of designs, prototype techpacks.
Support in the planning and execution of product development according to seasonal critical dates.
Assist in recommending and specifying the material, component, and construction options to meet pricing targets and product functional goals, as well as assure product performance integrity through product testing (physical and field testing).
Support the seasonal development of leather and non-leather materials for quarterly collections.
Track fabric and color development quarterly with each factory from development to production. Work with the color team to ensure lab dips are approved according to standard.
Consistent follow-up: Working closely with the Design Managers to ensure development information and updates are properly communicated to our overseas partners via PD.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Marketing and Production to ensure alignment on design vision and product goals.
Participate in product-related meetings including design hand-off meetings, proto fittings, and sketch reviews.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in footwear design or product development
Have knowledge of the total footwear construction process including outsole/midsoles, material construction and properties
Strong sketching, illustration, and technical drawing skills.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
Knowledge of footwear materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management abilities.
The Fine Print:
This is a full-time role based at our San Francisco office headquarters in the Mission neighborhood. We are on a hybrid schedule, with at least three days in the office per week, Tuesdays through Thursdays.

The annual compensation range for this role is $22.50 - $31.25. This range is based on the San Francisco geographic area and the actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
