    Drive dramatic growth in one of Klaviyo’s core product areas. Lead a growing team with between 6 to 8 direct reports. Leverage AI for content generation and optimization.  Have the opportunity to get hands on with the code, honing your technical expertise to support and mentor your team. Guide system design and implementation trade-offs with business partners and your team.  Identify the critical path forward and map that into a plan for your team. Iterate and improve upon processes within your team and across the entire engineering department (i.e. recruiting, performance reviews, project planning, and more) Drive complex projects with a team of great people which meaningfully contribute to our customers’ experience and Klaviyo’s success. 
    Requirements
    You have 9+ years of engineering experience, including 3–4 years directly managing engineering teams. You have experience leading full stack development on SaaS products, with strong hands-on skills in Python and TypeScript. You have experience building and scaling cloud-based systems using infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. You’ve managed teams of 6+ engineers, including remote and local team members, and you actively contribute by picking up tickets and writing production code when needed. You have experience leading complex, multi-quarter projects that involve cross-functional collaboration and drive product impact. You’ve worked closely with product and executive stakeholders, contributing to roadmap planning and prioritization. You have experience mentoring engineers, giving performance reviews, and helping team members grow through clear feedback and support. You understand what it takes to build for scale—leveraging queues, caches, CDNs, and background workers—and have experience making thoughtful technical tradeoffs. You’ve owned or contributed to a team’s technical roadmap and can align engineering decisions with both technical and business goals.   We use Covey as part of our hiring and / or promotional process. The range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all our US locations. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location. In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
