Drive dramatic growth in one of Klaviyo’s core product areas. Lead a growing team with between 6 to 8 direct reports. You have 9+ years of engineering experience, including 3–4 years directly managing engineering teams. You have experience leading full stack development on SaaS products, with strong hands-on skills in Python and TypeScript. You have experience building and scaling cloud-based systems using infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. You’ve managed teams of 6+ engineers, including remote and local team members, and you actively contribute by picking up tickets and writing production code when needed. You have experience leading complex, multi-quarter projects that involve cross-functional collaboration and drive product impact. You’ve worked closely with product and executive stakeholders, contributing to roadmap planning and prioritization. You have experience mentoring engineers, giving performance reviews, and helping team members grow through clear feedback and support. You understand what it takes to build for scale—leveraging queues, caches, CDNs, and background workers—and have experience making thoughtful technical tradeoffs. You’ve owned or contributed to a team’s technical roadmap and can align engineering decisions with both technical and business goals.   We use Covey as part of our hiring and / or promotional process.
