Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial statements  Prepare and review journal entries, manage accruals, and maintain reconciliation schedules over various balance sheet accounts Create budget vs actuals monthly reporting and manage BvA process Ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP Prepare required schedules and documentation related to our annual financial audit Manage Sales Tax and Bottle Deposit reporting and filing Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures and recommend improvements to mitigate financial risks Support AR team with customer invoicing and cash application Manage and mentor multiple accounting staff, providing guidance and development opportunities Conduct performance evaluations and participate in hiring decisions for accounting team members Identify areas of improvement and provide solutions that drive efficiencies Other applicable projects or duties as assigned

7+ years of progressive accounting experience 2+ years of experience managing direct reports CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred Experience with month-end closing, financial statement preparation, and audit processes CPG/Manufacturer industry experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements ERP and accounting software experience required (NetSuite, Ramp, Confido, or similar systems) Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, etc. Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve complex problems with minimal oversight Meticulous attention to detail paired with strong analytical thinking and organizational excellence Outstanding communication skills with a track record of effective collaboration across cross-functional teams   REPORTS TO:  Assistant Controller COMPENSATION: $110,000-$120,000 base salary + bonus HOW WE WORK We may be fully remote, but we’re anything but disconnected.
