Develop, document and enforce payroll processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Manage external PEO service providers
Support the training and development of the hourly employee time card submission and approval process
Prepare month-end & year-end payroll journal entries
Support the monthly OPEX Headcount budget to actual analyses with FP&A team
Prepare monthly payroll GL reconciliations monthly
Manage payroll tax returns
Support annual financial statement audit, annual 401k audit and workers comp audits
Review and recommend modifications to payroll systems and procedures
Manage the implementation of payroll system recommendations/modifications/ interfaces
Requirements
BS degree
8+ years experience in payroll processing
Thorough knowledge of basic payroll procedures and controls
Hands-on experience with payroll software packages (JustWork or Payfit a plus)
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to formulate and articulate valid conclusions
