Develop, implement, and champion a proactive maintenance strategy, utilizing lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., SMED, 5S, Poka-yoke) and reliability-centered principles to transition from preventive (PM) to predictive (PdM) maintenance.
Manage and optimize the spare parts inventory system, strategic reordering to minimize downtime and control costs.
Mentor, coach, and provide advanced technical training to junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development within the team.
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex and unresolved maintenance issues from all shifts, providing expert-level troubleshooting for advanced mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Perform advanced diagnostic and root cause analysis (RCA) on complex equipment failures to implement permanent corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Leverage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS-Limble) to analyze equipment performance, track maintenance KPIs, identify failure trends, and generate reports for leadership.
Develop, validate, and own Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintenance documentation for all critical production and packaging equipment.
Lead the training of production and technical staff on new equipment, proper operating procedures, and autonomous maintenance practices.
Proactively identify and report on potential equipment obsolescence, system vulnerabilities, and opportunities for capital improvement projects to engineering and leadership.
Ensure clear and effective communication between shifts and with vendors, leading hand-off meetings and documenting critical information to drive continuity and action.
